There is a lot of talk in our
world about leadership. As a fully committed follower of Jesus we are also
called to summit to authority. For some this seems to be a paradox. Biblical
leadership comes out of submission to God’s authority! For some it seems that
leading requires perfection. Therefore, by looking at our own shortcomings; the
Godly, biblical leadership, in submission to authority to which the Lord has
called us is a mute point. In our new series “The measure of a Leader- Flawed
people that God used” we will look at the book of Judges and discover that God
uses flawed people. We will also see how God calls his people to a place of
leading; to lead our families in the things of God, to lead a community back to
biblical principles; to lead a nation back to Christ; to lead a world into the
peace that the Father alone can give!

One thing I received from the series is that God isn't looking for perfection, He is looking for submission. When we submit to Him, we rest in His power and authority and He carries the load. Then we are able to obey His command to make disciples. Although some of the people (male and female) God chose as leaders were timid, fearful and/or felt incompetent but God saw their potential and when they submitted to Him, He was able to do bring mighty victories through them.
